The purpose of the American Collegiate Retailing Association (ACRA) is to foster quality retail education at four-year college and graduate schools. It has important commitments to teaching of retailing, retail research, and administration of academic retail programs.

The fourth annual ACRA Undergraduate Student Retail Analysis Competition was held in conjunction with the Spring 2009 conference, in Las Vegas, Nevada, May 2009.

3rd Annual ACRA Charrette
The 3rd Annual ACRA Charrette took place on Tuesday, March 17th to Saturday, March 21st, 2009 at the University of Florida – David F. Miller Center for Retailing Education and Research, Florida.

2009 ACRA Spring Conference
in Conjunction with The ICSC Spring convention
The 2009 ACRA Spring Conference (paper presentation and annual meeting) will be held at the Flamingo Las Vegas on Saturday May 16 - the day before the The International Council of Shopping Centers, Inc. (ICSC) Spring convention: RECON: The Global Real Estate Convention (May 17-20, 2009) conference begins.

- Deadline: March 16, 2009
Because of new security rules initiated by the ICSC, all entry to the ICSC events at the Convention Center will be by photo badge only. Because of the time needed by ICSC to prepare these badges all ACRA registration must be completed by March 16, 2009. ACRA Registrations received late cannot be assured of entry into the ICSC events.
Please note the following important instructions:
- Please register by March 16, 2009 to ensure access to ICSC events
- Late registrants will not have access to the ICSC events
- The ACRA meeting will be on Saturday May 16 (before the ICSC conference). Book your travel and hotel accordingly.
- The ACRA meeting will be at the Flamingo Las Vegas. Reduced room rates are available through ICSC at www.icsc.org/2009SC/index.php
- Be sure to send a digital photo along with your registration to JK Park
- Students should not register through ACRA but register directly with ICSC to save money (total cost $100) but need to submit this form to JK Park
- Authors of papers need to inform Paul McGurr of attendees and paper presenter
As part of our agreement with ICSC ACRA participants are encouraged to stay at the Flamingo Las Vegas. Discounted rates can be obtained at the Flamingo through the ICSC web site noted above.

2009 triennial AMS-ACRA conference
The triennial AMS-ACRA conference will be held in New Orleans at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside, Wednesday, September 30, 2009 through Saturday, October 3, 2009.
